In 1975 Buffalo invented NOISE BARRIERS for the UK Department of Transport.

For many years people have asked us for fencing to reduce noise.

The European Directive 2002/49/EC - Environmental Noise Directive (END) -  requires authorities to draw up action plans to  maintain a quality environment.

This means that Buffalo can supply (and install) noise reducing fencing to the height needed to give you the noise protection you need (subject to permissions).

Buffalo's Enduro Acoustic fencing is strong, durable and versatile.

• It is designed for zero maintenance
• The fence is erected on hot dip galvanised H-section steel posts (RSJs) for the FULL panel height
• All fixings are of stainless steel for longevity
• Timber is pressure impregnated with preservative to latest specifcations for zero maintenance
• Gravel boards are 75% thicker than the requirements of BS 1722 part 5
• Rails are full size at the vital joint with the posts
• Capping rails are rebated from one piece of timber and fix inside the steel posts with concealed patent fixings
• The panels can be adjusted on site to smoothly follow ground contours; up to 1:6 (17%) without stepping
• All vertical boards are fixed with stainless steel ring-shanked nails for extra grip and longevity
• The vertical boarding can be attached to both sides if required
• Panels fit inside the flanges of the posts, eliminating gaps and making the fence excellent for noise reduction
  
• Panels are retained inside the posts by patented concealed fixings which prevent the panels from detaching in high winds.

 
Dimensions
  Panel sections are 1.9m or 2.5m high. Post centres are 2.4m or 1.8m.

• Polyester powder-coated posts in brown or green
• Post caps
• Pedestrian Heavy-duty gates for widths of 0.9 and 1.0m
• Vehicular access Double gates are 2.4, 2.75, 3.0 and 3.5m wide.

All gates are made to match fencing installations.
Steel-framed gates up to 6.0m wide are also available.

 

Enduro panels do not attract graffiti as smooth-faced panels can do.
